As you know, May 20th was originally scheduled as a snow make-up day on this year’s calendar. This was intended to make up for the traditional snow day we had on January 6th, when all schools and offices were closed.
After reviewing the district’s calendar and the state’s requirements for student days and hours, we’ve determined that CSD students will meet the necessary state requirements without needing to use the May 20th snow make-up day.
However, in order to comply with their employment agreements, teachers and select support staff will still be required to make up the day.
What does this mean? Students will not report to school on May 20, 2025. Teachers and certain support staff will participate in a professional development day instead.
